Family Hearing Aid Center of Hawaii THE hearing center of Hawaii. We’re an independent, locally and family-owned business operating seven audiology office locations on three islands. On the island of Oahu, we feature Specialists in Honolulu, Kahala, Pearl City, and Kaneohe; our Maui office is in Kahului; and our Big Island Hawaii Specialists are in Hilo and Kailua-Kona.

Family Hearing Aid Center was founded and is currently operated by Randy Wohlers, as well as his son Brandon Wohlers, and his son-in-law Osamu Manabe. Our team of Specialists in Hawaii believe that the most important work that our offices do is bring families together in our dedication to restore patient hearing.

Randy Wohlers, BC-HIS
For over 35 years, founder Randy Wohlers has made a difference in the lives of many. One of his very first patients was his own grandfather who suffered hearing loss after serving in World War I. Because of his experience in helping his grandfather hear again, Randy profoundly understands the huge impact that hearing loss has on relationships. He has made providing the best hearing aids in Hawaii his primary goal.
Brandon Wohlers, BC-HIS
Before joining his father at Family Hearing Aid Center, Brandon was the head of the first FDA licensed hearing aid manufacturing laboratory. His is the proud honoree of the National Leadership Award for Patient Satisfaction. He is husband to wife Lana, and father to two daughters, Kayla and Haylee. With Family Hearing Aid Center, Brandon operates the Maui and Big Island office locations. “I was born into the hearing aid business! I started on the technical side and found real joy with the people we see and the lives that we are able to change. I like helping people live and work together. It is extremely rewarding.”
Osamu Manabe, BC-HIS
Osamu has been honored to receive both the Dispenser of the Year and the National Leadership Award. He is fluent in Japanese and acts as Family Hearing Aid Center’s Director of Sales & Operations. In his free time, Osamu is a pilot and loves to spend time with his wife and three children. “I was lucky to marry into the family and have happily relocated from Missouri to Hawaii more than 18 years ago. What I find most satisfying about my job is the immediate results our team can provide to patients. We know right away when new hearing aids are working. The amazing digital technology evolves everyday and it is very exciting!”
Jason Lariosa, BC-HIS
As a licensed and Nationally Board Certified Hearing Instrument Specialist Jason helps patients at Family Hearing Aid Center’s Kahala office location. He was born and raised in Ewa Beach and is a current member of the International Hearing Society. In his free time, he enjoys exercising, paddleboarding, and travelling, as well as watching UH football.
Wes Nakamura, BC-HIS
Wes graduated from the University of Hawaii and Konan University in Kobe, Japan. With a personal connection to hearing restoration when Wes saw how better hearing with the help of Family Hearing Aid Center greatly improved the life of his father and his whole family. He understands the profound effects of hearing loss and is proud to assist all our patients. Wes is married, speaking Japanese fluently, and is a specialist at Family Hearing Aid Center’s Honolulu office.
Paul Lariosa, BC-HIS
Paul is proud to have received the National Leadership Award for Patient Satisfaction. He was born in Pearl City and graduated from the University of Hawaii, Leeward. With his wife Bianca, who also works on staff at our Pearl City office location, enjoy spending quality time with their children and their friends.
Ryan Himeda, BC-HIS
Ryan provides skilled hearing health services from Family Hearing Aid Center’s office in Pearl City. He is a member of the International Hearing Society, also known as the HIS, and was raised in Waipahu, HI. He graduated from Iolani School as well as the University of Pacific in Stockton, California, where he double majored in Engineering Management and Electrical Engineering. He currently serves as an Advisor for the National Board of Xi Chi Sigma, the National Asian Interest Fraternity. In his free time, Ryan is an avid golfer and traveler. He lives in Kapolei.
Freline Pajimola, Member – IHS
Freline is honored to have received the National Award of Excellence in customer service. She is a licensed specialist in hearing aids and was born in Hilo. When not helping patients, she enjoys spending time with Danny, her husband, and their friends.
Todd Hori, BC-HIS
Born in Maui, Todd graduated from the University of Hawaii. He is honored to have received the National Leadership Award in Patient Satisfaction. He enjoys ocean kayaking and spending quality time with his daughter and wife.
Mitchell Vierra, BC-HIS
Mitchell was raised in Hilo and graduated from University of Hawaii at Manoa, where he majored in Zoology. His background is in technology and he focused on learning all he could about electronics and computers while working for CompUSA and Best Buy. He is currently a licensed and Board Certified hearing aid specialist in Hawaii and is a member of IHS. He enjoys spending time on the beach with his four children.
Dr. Kaila Andrlik, Au.D.
Dr. Kaila Andrlik grew up in Kentucky - the Bluegrass State. She obtained her Bachelor's of Science degree in Communication Disorders at Eastern Kentucky University. She then graduated with her doctorate from the Doctor of Audiology program at Ball State University. Prior to moving to the island, Kaila worked as the Director of Audiology and clinical Specialist at a busy ear, nose, and throat clinic in Kentucky. Kaila has many family members who have served in the military and as a result is passionate about providing excellent services to veterans. In her free time, Kaila enjoys kayaking, reading, and traveling.
Dr. Elizabeth Harris Au.D., CCC-A
Elizabeth, who goes by Beth, received her B.S. from UNC-Greesnboro in Deaf Education before graduating from San Diego State University and UC-San Diego’s joint program as a Doctor of Audiology. Beth’s father was an officer in the Navy and grew up to marry a Naval officer herself, moving to Hawaii after completing a tour as a clinical Specialist at the renowned Shea Ear Clinic in Millington, TN. Her work with veterans is important to her and she is proud to help all patients at Family Hearing Aid Center with hearing restoration. In her free time, she acts as taxi for her wonderful children and all of their activities.
